ABSOLUTE FILTH - Paul ‘Moose’ Curtis & Marc Cameron

Magazines get a dirty facelift courtesy of a cutting-edge wet and wild art technique, as seen in Dazed & Confused magazine.

Taking grafitti art to an entirely new level, these two art pioneers are taking to the dirty streets of Shoreditch to ingrain the names of 10 of the most influential independent magazines into the pavements.

Pressure washing the well known logo’s into the filth is a quite ironic twist to the idea of graffiti, removing the dirt rather than adding to it, on par perhaps with the guerrilla gardeners of the world. It's the ingenuity and temporary nature of the Cleanart project that the Daydream team love. As Curtis says, “I think its more subversive than traditional graffiti, as you could do it in front of a policeman. If the authorities still take issue with it, they’re reacting illogically to a harmless temporary form of self-expression. That’s not okay, and that's the art for me.” A fresh bit of guerrilla art, and it won’t be around for long, so find it if you can.
