Grace’s Aces

Grace’s Aces appear for two swinging nights at the Pigalle Club

“These guys are amazing”
Andy Serkis

The magical sounds of 1950s Italy, France, Spain, Brazil and America come to life as an inspired new covers band takes centre stage at the super-chic Pigalle Club in London’s Piccadilly.

Grace’s Aces is a lively six-piece act including the angelic and feisty vocals of Tina Grace, a lead singer with Nitin Sawhney; cellist Ian Burge who has toured with Florence & the Machine and Peter Gabriel; violinist/vocalist Julian Ferrarreto who has collaborated with Natacha Atlas and Eska; Marcus Tilt, accordionist to West End shows, percussionist Karlos Edwards who has played with Moloko and guitarist Sagat Guirey, a Django Reinhardt afficianado.

The band was brought together by a mutual admiration of Louis Prima – known to fans as a pioneering Sicilian/American jazz-swing singer, and to many more as the voice of Louie, the King of the Swingers in The Jungle Book.

As well as a distinctive voice, Prima was known for the energy and originality he brought to his stage performance. Grace’s Aces, as well as first class musical credentials, bring this same theatricality and dynamism to their act.

Grace’s Aces comes to the Pigalle Club on Friday March 25th and Friday April 22nd only.
