Its been almost a decade of musical silence, iconic musician David Bowie
has now released a new track entitled "Where Are We Now?" will an album to follow. Recorded in New York on his 66th birthday, Bowie surprised fans as it appeared
unexpectedly on iTunes at the early hour of 5am accompanied by visuals on his website.
Bowie recounts some of his time spent in Berlin where he recorded his most
groundbreaking material, listing some of his haunts and repeating the
line "just walking the dead". The accompanying video was directed by
Tony Oursler and features the musician's face projected onto a puppet.
The past ten years have been spent out of the limelight, with many people speculating bad health - which he has denied continually.
A performance
at the Olympics Opening Ceremony last year turned down, despite a personal plea from
director Danny Boyle.
