– The Art of the Rhyme: "I'm from Marcy, I'm varsity, chump, you're J.V." is something Jay-Z once rapped, but is probably not what the Grammy-winner will open with in his conversation with Charlie Rose at the Brooklyn Museum tonight, when the "world famous" institution hosts the two verbal jousters for a chat to be aired on Rose's show. According to the museum, the conversation with the rapper will touch on "how visual art and poetry influenced his craft." [Village Voice] To celebrate the release of Decoded, the "narrative journey through the lyrics and life" of Jay-Z, which will be published by Spiegel & Grau on November 16, the rapper will sit down for an interview with PBS host Charlie Rose in front of a live New York City audience.
