The two surviving members of the Beastie Boys have broken their silence with touching tributes to raspy-voice rapper Adam Yauch.
“I know, we should have tweeted and instagrammed every sad, happy and
inspired thought, smile or tear by now. But honestly the last few days
have just been a blur of deep emotions for our closest friend, band mate
and really brother. I miss Adam so much,” Michael (Mike D) Diamond wrote on Facebook Monday.
Yauch, 47, died Friday morning in New York after a three-year battle with cancer.
“He really served as a great example for myself and so many of what
determination, faith, focus, and humility coupled with a sense of humor
can accomplish,” Diamond wrote. “The world is in need of many more like
him. We love you Adam.”

ICONIC: TIME magazine special issue Osama Bin Laden Cover

The bin Laden cover was illustrated by Tim O'Brien, who also designed the cover featuring al-Zarqawi.The special issue will hit newsstands on Thursday, May 5, and will be available on the iPad on the same day.
