Currently based in Bournemouth, Kudzai Dyirakumunda is an upcoming freelance graphic designer/illustrator. His clients have included Universal Republic designing promotional work for Enrique Iglesias, Jessie J, Jay Sean, Bobby Brackins, Kevin Rudolf, John Brown and Lil Jon. Kudzai has also designed an apparel series “Black Jack” featuring his illustrations.

I asked Kudzai about his inspirations and plans for the future:
Q:Who/what are your main inspirations?
KD: I take inspiration from everyday things whether its music or current world events As i see the more your are aware of your surroundings and what is going on you'll be able to make better informed decisions.

In terms of design one of my biggest inspirations has to be Shepard Fairey. His work is technically amazing and aesthetically unbelievable but what I take most from him was how he started with his Obey Giant sticker campaign. Reading his book "Supply and Demand" I found out that the whole idea was an experiment of Phenomenology which is described as " the process of letting things manifest themselves".

So when ever I have a idea i never have a real intention of where it will go I just create it and see what happens, looking at how people perceive and analyse it.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
KD: I aint one to make plan my life 10 years in advanced it might be cliché to say but I take everyday as it comes you never whats going to materialize. What ever i'll be doing it will be involved in the creative field and expressing myself.
